#YogaPalmBeach : Best things Are NOT things 🌻

Rushing today, life is soooo busy. Just wanted to blog something and this is a very sweet quote. Anyway, pretty self explanatory. Hope you are having an awesome November, or MO vember to those who support this charity.

Movember

During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men's faces in Australia and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer and depression in men. Money raised in Australia is shared equally between programs targeting prostrate cancer and male depression.

Alrighty, don't forget classes are on at Yoga Palm Beach this week, winding down for the year mid December though, so make the most of the opportunity to go Yoga and Meditate with the crew there.

#Vegan : Protein in Plant foods 🌻🌸

I thought our readers would find this interesting. This article contains some good information. Have a read, it might help you make different choices when choosing where you will get your dietary protein from.

Some valuable resources on this topic are: The China Study, Forks over Knives, Hungry for Change documentary, and Joel Furhman’s Eat to Live – just a few of many.

Because protein is such a topic of conversation when anything plant-based related is discussed, it’s important to share with you some plant based protein power-houses that will provide muscle-building, endurance sustaining, and optimum nutrition effects; fuel that is full of life-promoting nutrients, antioxidants, minerals, water, and fiber for healthy bodies.

1. Green Vegetables
Full of vitamins B, C, K, and A, anti-oxidants, important minerals such as potassium, Calcium, and Magnesium, fiber, and all essential amino acids, you can obtain all the proper amino acids from plant foods, specifically green, leafy vegetables.

2. Sprouts
Packing a serious punch, sprouts will rival any protein source as they’re 25-30% protein. They’re delicious in wraps, in salads, or even for the brave – thrown in smoothies. You can grow your own sprouts, making this powerful protein-rich food conveniently economical as well!

3. Chia
Used in the Aztec and Mayan cultures for endurance, Chia seeds are incredible protein sources. Not only do they absorb 10x their weight in water making them very hydrating, but they contain balanced Omega-3 and 6 fat ratio, have 5x the Calcium of milk, and are rich in anti-oxidants. They’re fun to use, too, as porridge (soaked in nut/seed milk overnight) or to thicken smoothies.

4. Hemp
Containing all amino acids, important Omega-3 and Omega-6 ratio, a high protein percentage, and a rich content of Vitamin E, hemp seeds are a super food in all they offer. Aside from being utilizable to create clothing as well as being economical to grow, they’re easily used in the kitchen. From hemp milk and butters to the seed itself thrown in salads, hemp is convenient to use and an important protein-rich source for those seeking to eat more plant-based.

5. Avocado
Many are aware that avocado is rich in essential fatty acids, but its protein-rich content and its Vitamin E content make it another super food to include regularly. Avocado also packs a good amount of fiber, B vitamins, Folic Acid, and Potassium. The ways to consume this creamy, protein-packed fruit are endless: in sandwiches, on its own, in smoothies, or in salads, it’s hard to be disappointed.

6. Coconut
Similar to Avocado in the fact that it is rich in medium-chain essential fats, therefore it promotes weight loss in the body, there are other reasons to consume coconut. Abundant in Zinc, Potassium, Fiber, and Iron, it’s also a great source of plant-based protein which nourishes every aspect of the human body.

7. Sprouted Brown Rice
Any grain when sprouted becomes more nutrient-dense and technically can be called a vegetable. A popular sprouted grain utilized in the plant-based protein world is Brown Rice, and for good reason! Sprouted brown rice is dense in Vitamin E, Magnesium, B vitamins, and all essential amino acids. Its bio-available nutrients are much more utilizable by the body and more importantly, is very alkaline forming in the body.

8. Pumpkin Seeds
Amazingly high in Zinc, Vitamin E, anti-oxidants, and amino acids, pumpkin seeds are a worthy food to include in one’s diet. Sprinkled in salads, as a snack, or even made into breads, they’re an earthy-addition to any meal.

9. Maca
Aside from its abundant vitamin B, C, and E content, it’s also rich in protein. Don’t forget – it provides plenty of Calcium, Zinc, Iron, Magnesium, and Phosphorous; its chalky flavor is perfect in smoothies or even dessert creations, preferably uncooked to retain its nutritional value.

10. Broccoli
Similar to the green, leafy vegetables, Broccoli is an intense protein powerhouse! Rich in Magnesium, Potassium, Calcium, Vitamin C, and even some B vitamins, it’s a health-promoting food. Steaming is an easy and healthy way to consume the vegetable.

Nature offers many foods that improve the health and provide abundant nutrition to the human organism. Never worry about where to attain ‘protein’ again, and reduce the risk of preventable illnesses by consuming more fresh plant foods in your diet.

In 2014 we plan on offering a couple of classes throughout the year on raw, vegan foods. So, there's something to look forward too.

Krishna - Song of God

The Lord loves us so much, he sang us a song "The Song of God" Bhagavad Gita As It Is translated by Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

Here's a great story. I hope you get something out of it.

Why you should read Bhagavad Gita (As It Is)

An old sage lived on a farm in the mountains with his young grandson. Each morning Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table reading his Bhagavad Gita. His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to imitate him in every way he could.

One day the grandson asked, 'Grandpa! I try to read the Bhagavad Gita just like you but I don't understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Bhagavad Gita do?'

The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and replied, 'Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water.' The boy did as he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got back to the house.

The Grandfather laughed and said, 'You'll have to move a little faster next time,' and sent him back to the river with the basket to try again. This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was impossible to carry water in a basket, and he went to get a bucket instead.

The old man said, 'I don't want a bucket of water, I want a basket of water. You're just not trying hard enough,' and he went out the door to watch the boy try again.

At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would leak out before he got back to the house.

The boy again dipped the basket into the river and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty. Out of breath, he said, 'See Grandpa, it's useless!'

'So you think it is useless?' The old man said,'Look at the basket.' The boy looked at the basket and for the first time realized that the basket was different. It had been transformed from a dirty old coal basket and was now clean, inside and out.

The Grandfather said softly, 'Son, that's what happens when you read the Bhagavad Gita. You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it, you will be changed, inside and out.

So, this is one reason for reading the ‘Song of the Lord’ The Bhagavad Gita (As It Is)

Yoga Meditation - For Inner Peace - Be Truly Happy And Free🌻🌸

Authentic Yoga Mantras are spiritual. At first it may be difficult to understand what this means, most  have no idea what spiritual truly means? But we can gradually gain some insight and understanding by practicing mantra meditation on a regular and consistent basis.

How is this possible? As an example lets say, a man is in a deep sleep, practically unconscious, not seeing or speaking. The sense of hearing is so powerful that even a sleeping man can be woken up by vibration of sound (someone calling out to him.)

In this same way the soul, although asleep (covered by the dust of material conditioning) can be revived or awakened by regularly meditating on sacred sound vibrations (yoga mantras.)

Yoga meditation 4221 want to share these words of wisdom with you.

"...The fact that the atomic soul is within the body of a gigantic animal, in the body of a gigantic banyan tree, and also in the microbic germs, millions and billions of which occupy only an inch of space, is certainly very amazing..."

Katha Upanisad

Consciousness is the symptom of the presence of the soul.

"Know that which pervades the entire body is indestructible. No one is able to destroy the imperishable soul."

This clearly explains the real nature of the soul, which is spread all over the body. Anyone can understand what is spread all over the body: it is consciousness. Everyone is conscious of the pains and pleasures of the body in part or as a whole. This spreading of consciousness is limited within one's own body. The pains and pleasures of one body are unknown to another. Therefore, each and every body is the embodiment of an individual soul, and the symptom of the soul's presence is perceived as individual consciousness. This soul is described as one ten-thousandth part of the upper portion of the hair point in size.

(Song of God) B. Gita As It Is 2:17

"For there is an eventuality as respects the sons of mankind and an eventuality as respects the beast, and they have the same eventuality. As the one dies, so the other dies; and they all have but one spirit, so that there is no superiority of the man over the beast, for everything is vanity. All are going to one place. They have all come to be from the dust, and they are all returning to the dust. Who is there knowing the spirit of the sons of mankind, whether it is ascending upward; and the spirit of the beast, whether it is descending downward to the earth?"

Australian holistic yoga meditation 4221- Live a life that is environmentally friendly.

What we can do to help reduce our carbon footprint.
(excerpt from World wide Institute dot com)

Less gas = more money (and better health!).

Walk or bike to work. This saves on gas and parking costs while improving your cardiovascular health and reducing your risk of obesity.
Consider telecommuting if you live far from your work. Or move closer. Even if this means paying more rent, it could save you money in the long term.
Lobby your local government to increase spending on sidewalks and bike lanes. With little cost, these improvements can pay huge dividends in bettering your health and reducing traffic.

Eat smart.

Eat plant based. Try to have at least one vegetarian or vegan day a week.
Buy locally grown. Purchasing from local farmers keeps money in the local economy.
Whatever your diet, eat low on the food chain.

If, for just one day a week, everyone ate only vegetarian foods, it would be like taking 8,000,000 cars off the road.
(excerpt from naturally healthy eating dot com)

Add yoga meditation to your life, this will result in (gradually over time) a change of heart. Everyone would become more peaceful and satisfied within, therefore not in the consuming mentality of trying to get more and more 'stuff'.

The practice of yoga meditation helps one to appreciate and respect all living beings (regardless of body) and to see the necessity of walking through this life causing the least amount of distress and anxiety to others.

Live simply and add yoga meditation to your life, it's free, enjoyable and very powerful. Find out more.

Australian holistic yoga meditation invites you to attend yoga, and yoga meditation classes.

Holistic yoga meditation 4221 palm beach qld wants to share another holistic yoga meditation video with you.

Sacred yoga meditations like the ones you see in the video - such as Om hari Om, Gopala, Govinda and the like are intrinsically connected with 'us' the spirit spark presently functioning in the world as 'Mrs Jones' or 'Mr Smith' with 2 or more children, 2 vehicles and at least1 pet.
We are currently in a dream like condition thinking that we are our body, busily spending all of our time trying to find solutions to the problems we encounter each day. We worry about how we will survive. We work hard making money to maintain our body. In this way our precious life, our energy and time pass by in a flash - Little do we know that the body (our material covering) is like a cloud passing over 'us' the spirit spark residing within the body. Just as clouds come and go in the sky, different temporary material bodies also cover the spirit spark, coming and going just like a passing cloud. Without 'us' or without the soul the body would be life less.
These very powerful, transcendental sound vibrations are so potent they awaken us from our dreamlike state - they help us re-connect with our true spiritual identity and unite us in yoga with the Supreme Person. In this way we travel along the path of sacred mantras back to eternal reality. Finally, after many lifetimes the once sleeping soul awakens to find true happines.
Yoga meditation and mantras rock!

Yogameditation 4221 - Holistic yoga meditation - Love what is it and how can we access REAL love

Sometimes we may have a store house of wisdom and brilliant spiritual gems right in front of our noses, but fail to notice. The lack lustre spiritual condition we find ourselves in has a seemingly blinding effect, covering us the spirit spark in a shroud of forgetfulness as we wander somewhat aimlessly through this life.

What do we want, or what are we looking for? If you ask most adults, the majority will say LOVE.
But ... are we looking for it in all the wrong places.

In by gone ages or many countless years ago when different civilisations walked upon the earth if this same question was asked of them undoubtedly the answer would have likely been the same.

Basically all living beings want to give and receive love, regardless of the type of body they are in.

If you would like to find out more about real love and where love is best placed, contact australian holistic yoga meditation networks for class times and details. There is a vast amount of free information available for seekers of the truth. It is readily available but normally only accessed by the lucky few.

Yoga Meditation 4221 - Uplifting Words of Wisdom

Friendship

Most of us have many friends or acquaintances. BUT we could probably count on one hand the friends we consider to be CLOSE friends.

Some people we 'just connect' with. Some people we just 'get'. A little cosmic BUT true. Some people are very easy to be around where as others are more work but can over time become close friends also.
Basically quality, whether it be a good friendship, or anything you consider to be valuable in your life requires a certain amount of effort, work and commitment.

The kind of friend I would like to talk about a little more here is the type of friend who see's and relates to us as a beautiful, precious, valuable, fragile entity. A friend who wants the best for US the eternal being temporarily inhabiting a 'female body' or a 'male body' a 'cat' or 'tree' body. A friend who knows that we are capable of more, can do and experience more, have value and are worthy.

A true friend see's who I am, the spirit spark within. A true friend tries to lift us up and gives us the tools by which we can experience happiness and joy, far more than we are experiencing now. A true friend doesn't want money from us, but instead passes this valuable gift to whom ever will receive it. Free of charge.

Yoga Meditation 4221 - Famous Vegetarians

As a child growing up in the country, surrounded by farmland and cows - one didn't think too long or hard about the small wooden cage outside the farmers gate which housed one solitary calf. Or some days that cage held even more calves.  There they stood all huddled together, very forlorn looking, lonely, grieving, always new born calves. I remember vividly their crying and bleating. Calling out piteously for their mothers, eyes full of bewilderment.

I recall those days now with a heavy heart, knowing now what I didn't know then about what happens to beautiful, new born calves that are put in those cages.

I have learned a lot about life since then. I have learned that within each living body resides a very precious soul. A valuable, much loved, eternally existing individual. I have learned that it is vital that we respect all forms of life, to not only respect but to value all, to be kind and compassionate to all - as much as we are able and to help in some way - all of our brothers and sisters regardless of  gender, nationality, beliefs etc,.

Yoga Meditation which includes the uplifting beautiful sounds of the names of the Supreme Friend, Lord, Father can bring about this condition of respect, compassion, kindness and so much more.

It you have an interest in how these timeless meditations work contact us. It is a very enjoyable type of meditation, very easy and simple to do. There are a number of different ways this meditation can be undertaken. You can meditate with your family and friends or practise in private. It's a lot of fun, plus it is so powerful it can change your heart and your life.

Yoga Meditation 4221 - Australian Holistic Yoga Meditation - An Inspirational Quote.

I think it would be fair to say that not many of us come into being, or are born on this earth with an abundance of  the good qualities as mentioned above. Generosity, kindness or understanding. I am tempted to go so far as to say that the other not so nice qualities Greed, Anger, and Ignorance can be found quiet readily in good supply.

You may be interested to know that practising meditation consistently can help increase ALL good qualities and decrease the others.

Meditation using spiritual sound vibration is a very ancient technique used effectively by millions to achieve spiritual awareness or awakening.

Spiritual sound meditation can be likened to a cleansing agent, purifying or cleaning away the layers of dust which obscures our spiritual vision. This practise is very soothing on the heart and the mind and has a very satisfying and nurturing effect on the soul.

Come and find out what it's all about, you will be glad you did.

Yoga Meditation 4221 Palm Beach Gold Coast Australia

 Karma

There are many examples in the world, writings and so forth on the subject of Karma. Both good karma and bad karma. These can be found in the writings of many amazing personalities, saintly persons and sages who lived many years past. In the West the most well known would be the words of Lord Jesus Christ when he said "As ye sow, so shall ye reap."

It is very important that we understand these very profound writings of Lord Jesus. To contemplate, understand and then live by them. If we did this, the world would be a far better place. Our family relationships, friendships and basic dealings with others would improve expeditiously.

If we knew and I mean REALLY knew and understood the significance of this one phrase and if we tried to at least make it so that we spoke NOT one harsh word, or dealt with others unkindly due to fully appreciating and having 100% understanding of the far reaching affects of our actions.

To see clearly that how we treat others will come back on us eventually, in one form or another.

If we believed the very simple and clear instructions of Lord Jesus we would make an effort to move through this world causing as little harm, as little pain and injury to our fellow human beings and ALL living beings. If we could do this, the world and society would be vastly different.

Jesus also said "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you"

These few words say it all.

Thank you Lord Jesus

Australian holistic yoga meditation 4221 have found these inspirational words of wisdom from an anonymous writer.

For all those who search online with photo's disabled I thought I would rewrite this beautiful poem so that you could read it.

"Could we with ink the ocean fill,
Were every blade of grass a quill,
Were the world of parchment made,
And every man a scribe by trade,
To write the love of God above,
Would drain the ocean dry,
Nor would the scroll,
Contain the whole,
Though stretched,
from sky to sky."

Holistic yoga meditation 4221 qld likes this quote by Mahatma Gandhi-

There is more than enough food, water, fuel and so on to satisfy the actual needs of everyone on the planet. But there is not enough to satisfy every one's greed.

Even if it were physically possible for a person to consume all the food, water, and fuel in the world, they would still not be happy or satisfied.

Over consumption comes about due to an inner craving, a spiritual emptiness. A person mistakenly believes that they are the physical body, not having had the opportunity to hear from timeless sources to the contrary. Our essence is actually spiritual.

Therefore a person falls under the misunderstanding that accumulating as many 'goodies' as possible, will bring fulfilment. However, the fact is, matter cannot satisfy spiritual craving. Try as we may, we are never satisfied, we never feel that we have enough.

Holistic yoga meditation 4221 share this about giving.

Giving.

You may have noticed that when you extend a helping hand to someone, be it a friend or stranger - you experience a warm fuzzy feeling. You feel good because you helped someone, showed a little kindness and consideration for another person.

This comes about because 'we' or 'I' (the eternal person within this body vehicle) have a natural inclination to help others. Kind of like offering service to someone without expecting any thing in return. This comes naturally because that service tendency is actually 'our' normal condition.

If you want to know more check out our About Us page for the classes that australian holistic yoga meditation offer.

Stay well.

Hugging is good medicine.

Hugging is good medicine. It transfers energy and gives the person hugged an emotion lift. You need four hugs a day for survival, eight for maintenance, and twelve for growth. Scientists say that hugging is a form of communication because it can say thing you don't have the words for. And the nicest thing about a hug is that you usually can't give one without getting one.

Peace, Peaceful, Peacefulness - AHYMN info

"Before there can be peace in the world, humanity must be peaceful within"

The greatest Peace Mantras of all time

Are made up of the combinations of the Names, pastimes and activities of the Supreme.

Here is a very simple and uncomplicated truth. We, the soul are eternal, spiritual in essence.

The covered living being mistakenly identifies the temporary physical body with the self. Forgetful of ones eternal nature, the conditioned soul seeks out temporary material sense pleasures. Driven by a deep longing and  emptiness in the heart, wanting to find pleasure and happiness the living entity is forced to act.

Yoga wisdom tells us that the soul is eternal, full of bliss and full of knowledge. The soul is full of knowledge, or full always with consciousness. Therefore, consciousness is the symptom of the soul. One can understand the presence of the soul simply by the presence of consciousness.

The conditioned soul, whose intelligence has become covered, looks externally for happiness, oblivious to the knowledge that the key to true happiness lies within.

The pure desire within, for love manifests in this world via the senses, taking many forms and generally culminating in frustration and a sense of being unfulfilled.

The fleeting sense flashes of this world are not enough to satisfy the soul who craves to be united again in yoga with the eternal best friend, the original cause of all causes.

A process is needed so that the dormant spiritual essence of a person be awakened. The very simple and enjoyable practice of Mantra Yoga, kirtan or group singing meditation which may or may not be accompanied by musical instruments, is the key to awakening the sleeping soul to a different world.

This is a scientific process which yields results. It is a tried and proven path which millions have traversed before. Millions of people across the world are huge fans of this amazing joyful practice, simply because it works. This is the recommended process for self-realisation in this Age of Kali.

Here we find the super easy solution to all of the worlds problems.

Find out how to become involved and try it for yourself. There is so much more to learn, if you want more details come to a class, find out how you, your family and friends can benefit.

Let Peace begin with You :)

How to keep your Balance in Life - Australian Holistic Yoga Meditation

Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving

We may not like to think about how short a lifetime is. Most in young bodies don't give it much thought, I never did when I was a youngster. BUT as the body gets older, we become more aware that the end is drawing near.

During our lifetime we experience alot of up hill, down dale moments. During our lifetime we have to deal with alot of trials and tribulations, depending on what our karmic allotment might be. Sometimes life appears to be 'good' and at other times, 'NOT so good.' It is not an easy task to remain in a state of 'balance'

If you were born with an inquisitive nature, (like myself) always annoying parents with 101 questions which they struggled to answer but couldn't. They would simply look at me in astonishment and ask with furrowed brow, 'why do you ask so many questions?'.

It doesn't matter what stage of life we are in when we start searching, questioning life and or, lifes purpose. The main thing is that we start. Sooner or later we will come acoss the answers. Perfect timing and perfectly arranged.

Yoga texts tell us that the precious human form of life is meant for inquiry, to ask questions like, 'why am I here, or what's life all about, what should my goal in life be'

Yoga wisdom is a science based process or application, after applying the process one experiences a tangible result. For us the result has been, being able to weather the storms of life, take the good with the bad, work through situations with understanding.

Ancient teachings and transcendental knowledge is available to all man kind. These teachings have been passed to us by authentic fully self realised yoga masters who want nothing from us, they simply ask us to investigate... with an open heart and mind, they ask us to examine and apply, experience for ourselves the tangible results.

Motivated out of love and compassion they give this information freely. Wanting only to point us in the right direction. This amazing information is like a shining beacon of light in the dark of night. This ancient information illuminates the darkness of illusion, helping the individual soul to see and understand clearly how to act and live in this world. All this via a very simple practice; the hearing and repeating of sacred sound, the names of the Supreme. Very easy, and very powerful. If you would like to try this meditation contact us.
